California Regional Water Quality Control Board Lahontan Region 2501 Lake Tahoe Boulevard, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150 Notice of Availability/Notice of Public Comment Period and Hearings for the DRAFT EIR/EIS for the TAHOE KEYS LAGOONS AQUATIC WEED CONTROL METHODS TEST On-line Public Comment Meetings: Wednesday, July 22, 2020, 9:30 a.m. Tahoe Regional Planning Agency Governing Board Meeting Wednesday, August 12, 2020, 9:30 a.m. Tahoe Regional Planning Agency Advisory Planning Commission Meeting The Tahoe Regional Planning Agency and Lahontan Regional Water Quality Control Board (Lead Agencies) invite public comment on the joint, Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) prepared in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act and TRPA Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for the proposed Tahoe Keys Lagoons Aquatic Weed Control Methods Test project. The joint DEIR/DEIS evaluates the potential environmental impacts of the proposed control methods test and project alternatives. The control methods test project, proposed by the Tahoe Keys Property Owners Association, will analyze which combination of treatment methods most effectively control aquatic weeds in the Tahoe Keys lagoons. The DEIR/DEIS is available electronically for review at: http://tahoekeysweeds.org. The Draft EIR/EIS is also available Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at the Lahontan Regional Water Quality Control Board office, 2501 Lake Tahoe Boulevard, South Lake Tahoe, CA. A 60-day comment period will begin on July 6, 2020 and end on September 3, 2020. Comments on the DEIR/DEIS may be submitted via e-mail to Email Me, or via U.S. mail to Dennis Zabaglo, Aquatic Resources Program Manager, P.O. Box 5310, Stateline, Nevada, 89449 by 5:00 p.m. on September 3, 2020. In addition, comments may be provided at the public hearings noted above. The Lead Agencies will consider all comments, written and oral, during the preparation of the Final EIR/EIS.
